The New York State Education Department’s Office of Information and Reporting Services collects staff data from approximately 200,000 teachers and 30,000 non-teaching professionals. When available, much of this information is made public in the “Statistical Runs” found at this location http://www.p12.nysed.gov/irs/pmf/ and at our public data site at www.data.nysed.gov. The Office does not generate lists of specific teacher names or release personally identifiable data. Basic Educational Data System (BEDS) Personnel Master File (PMF) standard statistical summaries contain information collected annually from teachers and administrators throughout New York State Public Schools, BOCES and Charter Schools. These reports contain data about annual salary, age, gender, experience, degree status, and average class size and certification status.
